Activities

We are doing all our welfare activities through the support and assistence of Government and NGOs, welwishers and from other General Public.

1. Computer Training:

With the help of screen reader softwares we are conducting computer training programmes for visually challenged persons irrespective of their age and educational qualification. Through this Basic Computer training programme, the benafactors can overcome their dependency to others in reading and writing, help to use internet and able to get computers from the Local Governing Bodies.

2. Brailee Literacy Programme:

The newly blind persons through acidents or by diseases, they are desperate in their life. They cannot able to communicate properly as before. For them we are giving training in reading and writing using Brailee. We are finding the school aged visually challenged children and guiding them to special schools for their education.

3. Mobility & Orientation:

Blindness causes a person lack in mobility and orientation. With the help of White Cane and other Equipments, we are giving traing visually challanged persons to move around and live indipendently.

4. Homour Brailee Book & Audio CD Library:

In our welfare centre, we have an audio CD library and a vast collection of Brailee Books. This library contain novels, shor stories, essays and poems of eminent authors. The members are using this service for reading and hearing different books to enable their knowledge.

5. Dwani:

it is an audio page in this website. Different and valuable periodicals are recorded and kept for download and hear. Those who visite this site can able to use this service from anywhere.

6. Distribution of Study Meterials:

In the begining of every accadamic year, we are trying to distribute study materials and uniforms to the school going children of our members and other visually challenged students studying in different schools.

7. Self Employment Scheme

beyond the assistence from the state committe for self employment, we are also trying to provide financial assistance from the general public to start and maintain our member/s self employment programmes like lotary selling, cattle briding, running shops etc.

8. House maintainance:

with the help of earning members of the federation, and other welwishers, we are trying to give financial support for the maintainance of the houses of the very poor and needy brother among us.

9. Pension & Treatment:

Most of members are living with the help of pension given by the Government. It is not enough to meet their daily expences. More over most most of them are not able to meet their hospitel expences when they became sick. In this situation we are giving financial halp to them.

10. Distribution of Onnam Kits

In onnam seasons we are distributing onnam kits to poor families of our members. Through this noble deed they can able to celebrate Onnam happly to some extend. For this purpose we are usually getting financial and material assistance from various departments of Government and other welwishers.

These mentioned activities are the breaf narrration of our welfare activities which we are undertaking for our brothern in the society. We are trying to do more and more welfare activities for the better living and over all development of the visually challenged persons.
